Curated by Rekhta Foundation, Rang-e-Rekhta is a magical moment to mark Urdu’s phenomenal outreach since the language finds its resonance across the length and breadth of the country. It honors Urdu’s various facets that include Mushaira, Qawwali, Dastaangoi, Musical Renditions and a host of such other art forms that mesmerize its lovers. Spurred by the staggering response to our flagship festival Jashn-e-Rekhta, we would like to showcase Urdu’s various forms to its lovers in other parts of the country. Urdu is not merely a language but an entire culture unto itself and touches the heart and soul of anyone who comes in contact with it. Rang-e-Rekhta is a unique cultural phenomenon that showcases how Urdu lends itself to various art forms. Rang-e-Rekhta is a festival for the senses. Our third stop in our endeavor to promote Urdu will be Gurugram. The first edition of Rang-e-Rekhta was held in Chandigarh, followed by one in Jaipur earlier this year, which received a staggering response. Aravali Centre for Art and Culture, Gurugram will be hosting Rang-e-Rekhta’s 3rd Edition, on the 22nd of July 2018.
